The HI-8020SM-62 is a 38 segment high voltage display driver constructed of MOS P Channel and N Channel enhancement mode devices in a single monolithic structure. It is designed to drive high voltage liquid crystal displays by converting 5 volt serial data to parallel segment and backplane waveforms with amplitudes up to 30 volts. This device can drive up to 38 segments and requires minimal display-to-data source interfacing. Serial data is loaded and held in internal latches until new display data is received. The HI-8020SM-62 is available in a 48-Pin Ceramic Leadless Chip Carrier package.
The HI-8020 Series differs from the HI-8010 Series by only the shift register clock and chip select gating logic.
